AI Engineer - FDE (Forward Deployed Engineer)

Location: Remote – Netherlands (Preference for Amsterdam)

About the role:

This position is part of a highly specialised, customer-facing AI team (Forward Deployed Engineering). The mission is to deliver professional services that help clients build and deploy unique AI applications into production.

Key responsibilities:
• Develop GenAI solutions using the latest techniques from generative AI research.
• Guide production rollouts of both consumer-facing and internal GenAI applications.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor for clients across various domains.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product and engineering teams to influence priorities and shape the product roadmap.
• Potentially present at conferences such as the Data + AI Summit and be recognised as a thought leader.

Required technical expertise:
• Experience building GenAI applications, including RAG, multi-agent systems, Text2SQL, and fine-tuning with tools such as HuggingFace, LangChain, and DSPy.
• Expertise in deploying GenAI applications to production, including evaluation and optimisation.
• Demonstrable hands-on experience with data science and machine learning tools (e.g., pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch).
• Experience building production-ready ML deployments on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of French or German is appreciated.
