1. About this policy

This Cookie Policy explains how BlueStone uses cookies and similar technologies on bluestone.nl and its subdomains (the "Website"), what those technologies do, and how you can control them.

2. What cookies and similar technologies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device so it can be recognised on a later visit or across pages. We also use technologies that work in a comparable way and are covered by this policy:

•      Tracking pixels — a tiny invisible image or script that reports to a third party that you visited a page or completed an action.

•      Local storage and session storage — browser storage used to remember settings or state without a classic cookie.

•      Software development kits and similar identifiers used in connected apps.

Cookies are described in this policy as first-party (placed by bluestone.nl) or third-party (placed by another organisation, such as LinkedIn or Google). They are also either session cookies, which disappear when you close your browser, or persistent cookies, which stay for a set period.

3. Your consent

When you visit the Website for the first time, a consent banner appears. Only strictly necessary cookies are placed before you make a choice. Analytics and marketing cookies are placed only after you have actively given consent for that category.

You can accept all categories, reject all non-essential categories, or choose per category. Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and the Website remains fully usable if you reject everything that is not strictly necessary.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of every page. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before you withdrew it. We will ask for your choice again at least every twelve months, and whenever we add a new purpose or a new third party.

4.2 Analytics (consent required)

These cookies help us understand how visitors find and use the Website so we can improve it. They are placed only after you consent to the analytics category.

Retention periods are the durations documented by the providers and can change. The consent management platform re-scans the Website and updates these tables automatically; verify them before publication.

5. Third parties and international transfers

The third parties named above set their own cookies and act as controller or joint controller for parts of that processing. Their own privacy and cookie notices apply in addition to this policy:

Some of these providers process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where that happens, transfers are covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, by an adequacy decision such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or by another lawful transfer mechanism. 6. Managing cookies in your browser

Alongside the consent banner, every browser lets you view, block, or delete cookies through its settings. Blocking all cookies may stop parts of the Website from working. Browser settings are an additional control, not a substitute for the choice you make in our consent banner — we do not treat a browser setting as consent.

7. Your rights

Because cookies can involve personal data, you have the rights set out in the GDPR: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and data portability, as well as the right to withdraw consent at any time. Our Privacy Policy explains how to exercise them.

If you are not satisfied with how we handle your request, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl) or with the supervisory authority in your country of residence.

8. Changes to this policy

We update this policy whenever we add, remove, or change a cookie or a third party. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. If a change means we need your consent again, we will ask for it through the banner.
